My husband and I bought a house in 2015 in the Hollywood Riviera, a family friendly neighborhood with all single family homes on quiet streets just minutes from the beach. We fell in love with a house with a huge backyard on an almost 13,000 square foot lot on a quaint cul-de-sac street one block from Rocketship Park and Riviera Elementary. This is exactly what we had hoped to find to raise our daughter, Kennedy, and to play with our family dog, Sydney. There was a huge potential for an amazing indoor/outdoor living space with 25 feet of sliding glass doors opening up to a large deck and wooded backyard which is a rare find in the South Bay. The house was previously owned by a family for almost 40 years and was very well taken care of but was in need of a modern remodel. We knew we could make the home our own envisioning a California Craftsman style and we hired a local general contractor, Al Jeter, to work with us. The demo started the day after we closed escrow on May 21st and then our journey began….
